When summer arrives, so does that little and annoying insects, called ants, start to appear in your house. And trust me, many people are confronted with this problem, and I collected from everyone’s experience some interesting methods to get rid of ants from the house, without any toxic solution.
Salt with baking soda
Have you noticed that ants have invaded your kitchen? Mix in a bowl salt with baking soda, and sprinkle the ingredients on the floor, in the area where you’ve seen ants. Right after ants left the room, add this mix near to the window frame and the door to make sure that they will never come back to your home.
Lemon-based solution
Prepare your own insecticide made of 100% natural ingredients. Mix the juice from 2 lemons with 1 liter of water, and spray the solution in the places where ants have made their nest. To prevent them from entering the house again, spray the solution regularly around the house or near the windows.
Draw lines with the chalk
A simple way to keep ants away from your home is to drag chalk lines around the house or across the windows. This way, the ants will stay away because they can’t stand calcium carbonate. You can also sprinkle the chalk powder on the pots of the plants, if you notice that these small invaders want to build their anthill in the pots.
