This Old Jeweler’s Trick Helped Me Bring Back The Shine Of Silver

We all know that silverware turns black over time, looking way too vintage! It’s great wearing your grandmother’s ring, or your mother’s jewelry, but when it turns black, it won’t look so amazing! Instead of going to a jeweler, prepare your own solution to clean silverware like a pro. This technique was passed on to me by an old jeweler which I deeply trust!

You need :

– 2 glasses of water
– 2 tablespoons of baking soda
– 1 tablespoon of salt

Put the water to boil in a pot. When it starts boiling, turn off the fire and add the baking soda and salt. Mix well, until salt and baking soda dissolve.

Add your jewelry in this solution and let it stand there for 30 minutes. Then, wipe each item with a cloth soaked in the same solution. Finally, rinse the items well with plenty of water.

Careful! Avoid sprinkling baking soda directly on the silver item because you risk scratching it.
