How To Use Vodka And Baking Soda To Remove Odor From Stinky Shoes

It happens sometimes to have smelly feet because of the shoes you’re wearing. And the reasons may vary from cracked heels to poor quality shoes. That’s why it’s indicated to wear leather shoes, or well ventilated footwear, to prevent this smelly problem. Another option is to care for your shoes, and use the following natural ways to eliminate bad odors from them.

Essential oils and baking soda
Put a tablespoon of baking soda inside the smelly shoes, and leave the white powder to act for at least 3 hours. Then remove the baking powder with a damp sponge and drop a few drops of essential citrus or eucalyptus oil. These flavors are stronger than others, but are particularly pleasing and will remove bad odors from shoes for at least 7 to 10 days.

Use vodka
My grandmother advises me to clean the shoes that smell badly inside, with a cotton pad moisten in rubbing alcohol. Apart from the fact that it has that blue color, and it will leave blue spots on your shoes, it’s not very efficient. You better use vodka. It’s transparent and powerful enough to destroy all sorts of bacteria that result that bad odor. It doesn’t stain, evaporates in a few minutes and removes any unpleasant shoe smell.
